    My family and I think the Sainsbury's free from range is very good. My son has dairy and egg allergies and his grandfather is a coeliac, so both need to follow a restricted diet. The free from range is well labelled (shopping trips were rather time consuming with having to check through all the regular product ingredient lists!) and enables them both to eat lots of foods they otherwise couldn't. My son in particular does not feel he is missing out. Two points I would like to raise though is the price of these items (always higher than 'regular' products) Secondly, are there any free from icecream products (a soya alternative perhaps) as he tends to only be able to have sorbet. Alternatively does anyone have any dairy and egg free homemade 'icecream' recipes?

    Hi!
    I'm lactose intolerant, and i also work for Sainsbury's. I've been told that dairy free icecream is on the way, so fear not.
    I shall post any further information on here should i receive any.

    Hi!

    I'm also Lactose intolerant and used to find things a lot more difficult to manage before the free from range became so good.

    Ice cream is tricky to get hold of but I have found one brand (unfortuantly not a Sainsbury's brand) in certain health food shops which is amazing - comes in Vanilla, caramel and strawberry!!!!

    Just doing my shopping on the Sainsbury website and they do stock the brand I was talking about it is called Swedish Glace

    Thanks for the information on the 'icecream' product. We have tried a few similar ones and to be honest we thought they were not particularly good. They tasted like frozen water with a bit of strawberry or chocolate flavouring added. We will give this one a try though and see what we think!

    Hello all

    I have been Buying Sainsbury's range of Frozen FreeFrom poducts for nearly a year now, so naturally, I was very interested to spot your discussion thread and hope you don't mind me joining in.

    It sounds as though you are keen on our range as a whole, but may not be as familiar with the frozen products we sell as you are with those in other parts of the store. So, I wondered if you had any comments about the frozen range of products - Are you aware of them? Do you buy them? What things do you like/dislike? What else could we be doing to provide an even better range to special dietary requirements?

    It would be really good to get your feedback.
