During the application process you will be asked for the following information: Current address, previous employment history and qualifications. Please allow approximately 30 minutes to complete the online application process. Note that you must complete the application in one sitting, as there is no facility to return to saved applications.
Time Restrictions
Our Online Recruitment Website uses “sessions” to keep track of your application through the stages of updating your personal information and completing the first stage of assessment, an online multiple choice test.
Sessions expire after 1 hour in total, or, after 15 minutes of inactivity. So, if you take more than 15 minutes to complete a screen or 1 hour to complete your application, you will have to start again.
Password Resets
If you forget your password, or need to reset it, you can follow the link on the log-in screen, and a new password will be sent to your e-mail address. A new password will usually be sent to you within 15 minutes, but if the site is very busy, this may take up to two hours. In order to protect your personal information, you only have 3 attempts to enter your password before your account becomes locked. Every time you complete the password request form your password will be changed. If you do this without waiting for the previous e-mail to arrive, you may inadvertently cause your password to be locked, because when an e-mail arrives you will not know whether it refers to the first or second (or subsequent) attempt to reset your password. If your password is locked you will have to contact Sainsbury’s HR Shared Services, who will arrange for the password to be unlocked.
As part of this application process, you will be required to complete a test that will ask you questions based on realistic situations you may be faced with in the role you are applying for. You must complete these tests yourself, with no help from a third party.
It is a criminal offence to fraudulently gain employment for another individual. Sainsbury’s reserves the right to randomly re-test candidates, to verify they have completed these tests themselves.
If you have a disability which prevents you from completing the application yourself, please click on the link at the bottom of the following page.
