  1. What is the Sainsbury's 'Great days out' offer?

    Our ‘Great days out’ promotion has now finished in store. But the great news is you can still use your three vouchers instantly to enjoy free entry† to one of the UK's top attractions. You can also use your ticket to download a voucher for offers on a local attraction or activity of your choice.*

    One voucher gives you free entry to the UK’s top attractions when accompanied by a full paying adult at Alton Towers Resort, THORPE PARK, Chessington World of Adventures & Zoo, LEGOLAND® Windsor.

    The other two vouchers give you free entry to Madame Tussauds, Warwick Castle, The London Aquarium, the Dungeons, SEA LIFE centres, SEA LIFE Sanctuaries, when accompanied by a full paying adult.

  2. How do I redeem my vouchers?

    • At the checkout we gave you vouchers for free entry to the UK’s top attractions when accompanied by a full paying adult at: Alton Towers Resort, THORPE PARK, Chessington World of Adventures & Zoo, LEGOLAND® Windsor, Madame Tussauds, Warwick Castle, The London Aquarium, the Dungeons, SEA LIFE centres, SEA LIFE Sanctuaries.
    • You don’t have to download anything. Just read the terms and conditions on your voucher and take it with you to redeem at the ticket office of your chosen attraction on the day.
    • Please note there may be ‘exclusion dates’ printed on your voucher – these are the dates your voucher cannot be used on.

    * Offer excludes purchases from the Concessions and Tobacco kiosk and purchases of prescription medicines, infant formulae, National lottery tickets, scratch cards, Shell petrol, stamps, e-top up, phone cards, gift vouchers and gift cards.

  3. How many vouchers will I receive?

    We gave you three vouchers in total for free entry to the UK’s top attractions, when accompanied by a full paying adult.

    The other two vouchers give you free entry to Madame Tussauds, Warwick Castle, The London Aquarium, the Dungeons, SEA LIFE centres, SEA LIFE Sanctuaries, when accompanied by a full paying adult.

  4. Do I have to hand my voucher in when I arrive at my chosen venue?

    Yes, you will need to hand in your voucher at the gate/till upon arrival at your chosen attraction (Alton Towers Resort, THORPE PARK, Chessington World of Adventures & Zoo, LEGOLAND® Windsor, Madame Tussauds, Warwick Castle, The London Aquarium, the Dungeons, SEA LIFE centres, SEA LIFE Sanctuaries). The attraction will then retain the voucher.

  5. What kind of offers can I expect with my vouchers?

    You will have received three vouchers in total for free entry to the UK’s top attractions, when accompanied by a full paying adult.

    One voucher gives you free entry to the UK’s top attractions when accompanied by a full paying adult at Alton Towers Resort, THORPE PARK, Chessington World of Adventures & Zoo, LEGOLAND® Windsor.

  6. How long will these vouchers be valid for?

    For the offer validity dates for Alton Towers Resort, THORPE PARK, Chessington World of Adventures & Zoo, LEGOLAND® Windsor, Madame Tussauds, Warwick Castle, The London Aquarium, the Dungeons, SEA LIFE centres, SEA LIFE Sanctuaries voucher, please see the terms and conditions on the back of the individual vouchers.
    The validity dates are subject to the individual attractions opening dates and times. Please note that some venues exclude Bank Holidays, special events and other peak periods, whilst other venues are only open during their seasonal opening times e.g. closed for the winter season.

  7. Are there any dates that I cannot use my vouchers?

    Your vouchers can only be used for entry to the attractions stated on the vouchers.
    The vouchers for Alton Towers Resort, THORPE PARK, Chessington World of Adventures & Zoo, LEGOLAND® Windsor, Madame Tussauds, Warwick Castle, The London Aquarium, the Dungeons, SEA LIFE centres, SEA LIFE Sanctuaries must be used on the dates specified in the terms and conditions (printed on the back of the voucher). Please note there may be ‘exclusion dates’ printed on your voucher – these are the dates your voucher cannot be used on.

  8. Can I exchange attractions?

    Our vouchers give you a great choice of attractions and activities for your great day out. You can use your three vouchers at the UK’s top attractions, including Alton Towers Resort, THORPE PARK, Chessington World of Adventures & Zoo, LEGOLAND® Windsor, Madame Tussauds, Warwick Castle, The London Aquarium, the Dungeons, SEA LIFE Centres and SEA LIFE Sanctuaries. These vouchers are not transferable and once you have redeemed your voucher at your chosen attraction you will not be able to reuse it.

  9. How can I find an attraction or activity close to me?

    Visit www.sainsburys.co.uk/daysout and you will find a map on the homepage. Click on the relevant geographical area of the map to view the offers on local attractions and actvities in your chosen area. You can search by category in a dropdown on the results page too. We also have a drop-down list of the geographical areas if you don’t want to use the map.

  10. Which attractions will be involved in the promotion?

    The vouchers will give you free entry (when accompanied by one individual paying the full adult rate), to the UK’s top attractions outlined below. These can be used immediately at your chosen attraction.

  11. Can I use my voucher in conjunction with other offers or discounts?

    No, unfortunately the vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers, concessionary or discounted rates. The vouchers cannot be used as part of a corporate booking. It is not possible to use your voucher when booking tickets in advance.

  12. Are there any restrictions on who can use my in-store voucher?

    An 'adult' voucher cannot be used for a child or vice versa.

  13. Can I go to my chosen attraction more than once during the promotional period?

    Yes, you can visit Alton Towers Resort, THORPE PARK, Chessington World of Adventures & Zoo, LEGOLAND® Windsor, Madame Tussauds, Warwick Castle, The London Aquarium, the Dungeons, SEA LIFE centres, SEA LIFE Sanctuaries, more than once during the promotional period when accompanied by a full paying adult.   14. Does my voucher guarantee entry?

    The individual venues reserve the right to refuse entry (at their discretion) and they cannot admit more visitors once the parks/attractions are full. For more details please see terms and conditions printed on your voucher.

  2. How do I use the ticket I was given at the till?

    • At the till, we gave you a ticket containing a unique reference number for offers on local attractions and activities.
    • All you have to do is log onto www.sainsburys.co.uk/daysout, browse the selection of attractions and activities near you, enter the unique reference number and download a voucher for the attraction or activity of your choice.
    • Print your online voucher, attach it to the ticket you received at the till, containing the unique reference number and take it with you to your local attraction or activity for your great day out.

  3. How many tickets will I receive?

    Our Great days out promotion has now finished in store. But the great news is you can still use the ticket you received at the till*, containing the unique reference number for you to download a voucher and experience offers on local attractions and activities near you.

  4. Can I go to my chosen attraction or activity more than once during the promotional period?

    For certain sporting venues, you may only be able to redeem one voucher per venue or company throughout the promotional period. Please check individual terms and conditions on the individual attraction or activities page on the website for full details.

  5. Do I have to hand my online voucher in when I arrive at my chosen venue?

    Yes, you will need to hand in the ‘Great days out’ online voucher that you download from the website upon arrival at your chosen attraction or activity, along with the ticket containing your unique reference number (with the exception of Green Free).

    Remember: Your online voucher is only valid when accompanied with or attached to your ticket containing the unique reference number, which you received at the till.

    The attraction/sporting venue will then retain the online voucher and ticket containing the unique reference number.

  6. What kind of offers can I expect?

    There are lots of offers to choose from. Some examples of the local attractions and activities include:

    • One free adult or child tennis lesson/session
    • 'Two for the price of One' swimming sessions

    However, some venues may have different offers – like the free sporting sessions and lessons. Please check the individual attraction or activities page on the website for full details.

  7. How long will these vouchers be valid for?

    Most offers are valid from 16 July 2008 until 8 July 2009, but are subject to the individual venue’s opening dates and times. Please note that some venues exclude Bank Holidays, special events and other peak periods, whilst other venues are only open during their seasonal opening times e.g. closed for the winter season. Please check the individual attraction or activities page on the website for full details.

    English Heritage provide access to their entire estate until 30 November 2008.

  8. Where can I use my online voucher?

    Your online voucher can only be used for entry to the attractions that are stated on the online voucher. The voucher must be used on the dates specified in the Terms and Conditions (printed on the online voucher). Please note there may be ‘exclusion dates’ printed on your voucher – these are the dates your voucher cannot be used on. Please check individual terms and conditions for full details.

    Your online voucher is specific to a local attraction or activity and you won’t be able to change venues once you’ve printed your online voucher, so please check availability with the individual venue before you print.

  3. I can only print in black and white. Will this be a problem?

    Not at all. All you have to do is visit www.sainsburys.co.uk/daysout, select the attraction or activity of your choice, enter the unique reference number, print the online voucher and take it with you on the day to your chosen venue to enjoy your great day out.
