Meat, poultry, fish, fortified cereals, peanuts and potatoes. Niacin can also be made in the body from the amino acid tryptophan, which is found in milk and eggs.
The recommended daily amount for niacin is 18mg for adults and children over the age of 5. If using supplements of nicotinic acid, it should be under the supervision of a doctor as it can lead to a burning sensation in the face and hands.
Pantothenic acid is needed for the release of energy from fat and carbohydrate.

The recommended daily amount for pantothenic acid is 6mg for adults and children over the age of 5. No toxic effects have been reported. Deficiency is rare as it is so widespread in food.
