Sesame carrots

Sesame seeds give the carrots a crunchy texture.

 

Ingredients

500g carrots, cut into thin slices
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
25g butter
freshly ground black pepper to taste

Method

 
  1. Place the carrots & 3 tablespoons water in a dish, cover & cook on HIGH for 8 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking. Leave to stand for 2 minutes.
  2. Put the sesame seeds in a shallow container & cook on HIGH for 2 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Drain the carrots, add the butter & cook on HIGH for 2 minutes. Season & toss well.
  4. Spoon into a warmed serving dish & sprinkle with the sesame seeds to serve.
