Where you the customer, choose to redeem Nectar points with or order products from one of our affinity partners, it will be necessary to provide that third party supplier with your name and address so that they can process your requirements.  You will be informed of this requirement when selecting that option.

Any information that you give us is held with the utmost care and security.  It will not be used in ways to which you have not consented.

'Cookies'
Sainsbury's use a feature of your Internet Web Browser called a 'Cookie' on their sites.  A Cookie is a very small text file that your Web Browser places on your computer's hard disc, which allows us to help you get the best out of your visit to the site.  A 'Cookie' can be thought of as an identification card which tells a website when you have returned.

Our 'Cookies are only used to store basic information about your order.  They do not store password or credit card information.

Sainsburys.co.uk uses 'Cookies' to make accessing the site more convenient as you won't need to remember your user number.  'Cookies' in conjunction with registration details will allow us to welcome you by name and over time personalise the site content to reflect your preferences.  For security reasons you will still need to enter your password and where more than one user uses the same machine it will not be possible to offer this service.  The sainsburys.co.uk 'Cookie' will remain on your hard disk indefinitely.

It is possible to view our site without providing any personal details.  However, without registering your details you will need to re-enter your details each time you order.  We will also not be able to inform you about the special offers available on the site.

You can set your Browser to accept or reject all (or certain) 'Cookies'.  You can also set your Browser to alert you each time a 'Cookie' is presented to your computer.  You can delete 'Cookies' that have been stored on your computer.

However, if you prevent us from placing 'Cookies' on your computer during your visit, or subsequently delete the 'Cookie' from your computer, then it will not be possible to use the site effectively because the system relies on the 'Cookie' to keep track of the current order and your session ID.

Please note that we do not use 'Cookies' to retrieve personal information about you from your computer, unless the information has been knowingly and willingly been provided by you.
