NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto KP100640 Piccolo Red by Krups
Great Design, Great Coffee
The Dolce Gusto Piccolo Coffee Maker is easy to use and does not take up too much workspace due to its neat, compact design. The instruction book is clear and simple. Machine is well designed and looks great.
The coffee maker takes specially designed pods. These are sold in boxes of either 16 or 8 - depending on whether there is a separate pod for coffee and milk (lattes, cappuccinos, hot chocolate) or just the one pod for a drink. Dolce Gusto do a wide range of drink pods and there are also skinny versions available. Their on-line range is larger and delivery is now free. The website also has fuller descriptions of their drink range and visual demos of how to make them should you need more help (the boxes tend to have minimum descriptions/guidelines). You can make both hot and cold versions of drinks (though I have only ever used my machine for hot).
As this machine is not the top of the range, you do have to manually stop and start the mug filling process, however, I prefer this as I can use the size of cup/mug I want and get the mix to my own preference.
Highly recommend this product - it is good value for money, looks great, compact, easy to use and, importantly, makes great coffee (& hot chocolate!)

What a bargain
Having bought the Nescafé Dolce Gusto just 4 weeks ago, my poor kettle thinks its redundant. Fabulous machine, it's just like drinking coffee that you've paid for at a cafe. The machine is stylish, neat and tidy, doesn't take up much room at all. Very easy to clean,in fact there is no mess from making your drink, your drink is ready in less than a minute (so its quicker than boiling a kettle). The is nothing to fault about the machine.
What makes it better for me personally is that I used my nectar points to buy it.

Great starter coffee machine
It is compact and perfect for a small kitchen, quick to heat up and very easy to use.
There are a wide range of pods to choose from.
The only drawback is it does not measure the quantity of water that passes through the pod so the drinks can end up too dilute or too strong. I measured the suggested quantities of volume into cups I have, before making coffee, and can now easily judge the required amount by eye.
