The music of the Beatles continues to enthral millions, decade after decade. Their back catalogue can now be played out in every fan's home that owns a PS3 console, with The Beatles Rock Band.

As with previous EA Rock Band games, timing is everything as you play along to a large selection of Beatles classics. In 'story' mode, you'll work through a chronological run of songs, starting with early classics like 'I Want To Hold Your Hand' and 'Twist and Shout' through to more complex songs, such as 'Come Together' and 'Here Comes the Sun'.

There are positions in your virtual band for up to six players. Play as John, Paul, George or Ringo, and also sing along (the game can accommodate up to three microphones), matching the tempo and pitch of the lyrics. Please note that the instrument controllers and microphones are sold separately.

The Beatles Rock Band is also an outstanding visual treat. Not only do representations of the Fab Four appear on screen to 'perform' the songs in classic venues, but there are many specially-created 'dreamscapes' that serve as fitting backdrops to psychedelic classics such as 'I Am the Walrus' and 'Octopus's Garden'. As you progress through the game, you'll unlock exclusive, rarely-seen footage of the Beatles themselves, back in their heyday.

Before the end of 2009, more songs will become downloadable to online consoles, namely all tracks from the albums 'Abbey Road', 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' and 'Rubber Soul'.
