More than just a disc spinner, this LG Blu-ray player can wirelessly connect to your computer and thus in the internet to access pictures, music and videos. As a Blu-ray player it can play back all popular DVD formats, as well as downloaded flies save on disc such as DivX, DivX HD and MKV. Naturally it will upscale to 1080p, filling in the missing details, but for absolute clarity Blu-ray discs and an HDMI cable are a must.
Connected to your broadband router using DLNA the player can pass on content from any other DLNA-equipped device and display it on the TV. Connecting wirelessly via WiFi, the BD570 can access LG Netcast, a range of services that includes YouTube, Picasa, AccuWeather.com.
