The Garmin Nuvi 1210 is a great little GPS device for navigating your way through traffic or on foot in the whole of Western Europe (UK and Ireland included).

Its bright, large touchscreen makes it easy to use and it's small enough to slip into a bag or pocket if you're out and about. If you're driving, it'll speak the road names and direction instructions, letting you keep your eyes on the road.

It features Garmin's ecoRoute" technology, which works out the most fuel efficient route to a desired destination if you wish. Additionally, Garmin's Cyclops safety camera database lets you know when you are approaching any safety cameras, and tells you the speed limit to help you travel more safely.

A useful feature called 'Where am I?' gives you your exact location at the touch of a button. A range of helpful supplimentary information is also displayed, such as your closest address, telephone number of the relevant vehicle repair service, locations of nearest petrol stations, hospitals or police stations. The device is pre-loaded with maps for Western Europe, the UK and Ireland, and has information on places of interest such as siteseeing attractions and restaurants.

A downloadable feature called CityXplorer" makes this device perfect for pedestrians too, helping you navigate by foot, buses, tube or train. A brilliant extra lets you download geo-tagged photos from Google Panaramio. Simply find the photo on the picture viewer, and the device can give you turn by turn directions to the site.

A bunch of extra features make this a handy travel companion, such as a world travel clock, timezones, calculator, currency and measurement converters.

A security feature called Garmin Lock" lets you lock the device. It then needs a PIN code to unlock it, or you can take the device to a pre-set secure location of your choice. Until you do one of these, no one can access your information if your device goes missing.
