Having advised your new post of Beverage Buyer and your passion for the job, I haven't noticed much by way of replies, probably an oversight on my part,

But

Where has all the Cadbury's Bournvita gone from the shelves. Bournvita drinkers are also passionate about their beverages and it has plainly become missing in action over the last few months. Please help. If not Globally, then at the Oldbury store in the West Midlands. where Bournvita drinkers are gagging for their favourite fix.

The only brand with any proper eco credentials is now no longer available. I spoke to the careline who told me that they are delisted because they aren't popular, my point was that they weren't given a chance to be popular because they were never stocked in any depth so were always running out. As a dad trying to make choices that are less harmful to the plant I'm really disappointed in Sainsbury's decision. They have a whole aisle of Pampers and Huggies, surely they have room for a small brand that's trying to do something positive for the planet. I though Sainsbury's had high eco ambitions.

Guess I'll just have to take my nappy shopping (and the rest of my weekly shop) elsewhere.

help please !

could u tell me how many calories are in yum yums from the bakery and also the sugared doghnuts please.

Taste the Difference Cookies from the bakery

Is it possible to find out how many calories are in the Raspberry & White Chocolate soft and chewy cookies from the bakery. Enjoy!

Playstation 3

I've just been to my local Sainsburys in Leamington Spa to see if they sold the playstation 3.Eventually i found it,after searching the newly extended electrical department for nearly 15 minutes.Seems a little strange that this item is hidden at the bottom of a shelf with no advertising.I nearly walked straight past it.Seems to me that it would be better placed in a more prominant place, ideally rigged up to a TV showing potential customers what it is capable of.(as would the wii and Xbox)

i am wondering wheather 'taste the differnce' sourdough bread is the sourdough bread in the traditional sense (i purchased the rye one)... and provides the health beifits of a true probiotic live food...as in, ie probiotic yoghurt.thats why i call it the bread of life because it contains life. living femented foods are very hard to find in supermarkets.

the packet of 'taste the differece' says that it is 'slow fermented' which grabbed my attention. slow fementation is crirical for the cultivation of the live bacteria. true sourdough bread in the food industry is very rare as manufacturere find it not viable to produce as its too time consuming. manufactures end up taking shortcuts but still label a product sourdugh bread.

perhaps a google search on traditional sourdough bread would explain what i am on about more accuratly otherwise i will be writing till christmas.

i would be very intereted to discover if sourdough 'taste the differnece' bread is a genuine product in which case i would continue to purchase the product on a regular bases. i also feel with some extra marketing info on sainsbury's behalf the product it could gain much popularity amoungst customers... especially those sensitive to glutton, and those with diabetis, candida amoungst to name a few.

my interest in this stems from the fact that true fermented products (ie sourdough bread, yogurt, saurkaut ect...) can reverse the typical damage many foods do such ironicallty ...

normal bread.

Anyone got any ideas on how to cook them and make them appetising?

Intermittent stocking of Sainsbury HiBran Cereal product

This used to be a regular always in-stock item. It provides a good value alternative to Kelloggs All-bran at about 50-60% of Kelloggs price.
Just lately it seems to have disappeared or to be very intermittently stocked in even the bigger stores around Harrow. Those in charge of the cereals sections in these stores seem mystified by its stocking pattern since it sells out fast when it's instore.

For our household it's a deal breaker. You don't stock it, we don't frequent your store any more. So will the situation improve and in which stores please? We'd like to know.

Charging for carrier bags?

We've received a number of suggestions that we should encourage customers to re-use carrier bags by charging a small fee for them, instead of giving them away for free. What would you think if we were to do this, and donate the proceeds to an environmental charity?

By doing this, it would potentially reduce carrier bag usage but also benefit an environmental charity at the same time. Would you be happy to make a small contribution towards your carriers? Can you think of any other ways in which we could tackle the issue around carrier bag usage?

Let us know what you think.

Happy posting!

I'm so annoyed that people are allowed to reserve low stock items while there are customers who are in store wanting to buy the item.
I spoke to Cs who said they know its not fair but there nothing they can do.
I'm really disappointed i couldn't get the camera and just so fed up with sainsburys at the moment.
