Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year or Spring Festival, is celebrated by millions worldwide. It starts with the first new moon of the Lunar Calendar and ends with the full moon, marking winter’s end. Each year is represented by one of 12 zodiac animals. In 2025, the year of the snake—symbolising wisdom and transformation—begins on January 29th.
