Step by step guide to making Cheese and herb lunch buns

  1. Tip the bread mix into a bowl and add the olive oil.
  2. Pick the leaves from the fresh herbs and add to the bowl. If using chives, snip into the bread mix. Pour the cold water (as per pack instructions) over the top and mix it all together with a wooden spoon.
  3. Knead the dough for 10 minutes. Put the dough back into the bowl and cover tightly with oiled cling film and leave in a warm place for 1 hour to rise.
  4. Take the dough out of the bowl and then knead again. Shape into 8-10 rolls and place on a baking tray.
  5. Sprinkle with the cheese and leave to rise again for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 200ºC, fan 180ºC, gas mark 6.
  6. Bake the buns for 15 minutes or until golden and cooked. Leave to cool slightly before serving.
