You will need

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 100g frozen diced onion
  • 500g tub Sainsbury's fresh white wine and herb fish pie sauce
  • 2 x 320g packs seasonal fresh fish pie mix
  • 200g Sainsbury’s frozen British garden peas
  • ½ x 28g pack fresh flat leaf parsley, chopped
  • 2 x 400g packs Sainsbury's fresh mashed potato
  • 350g pack fine green beans, trimmed

Step by step guide to making Creamy fish and white wine pie

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C, fan 170°C, gas mark 5. Heat the oil in a large saucepan and fry the onions for 5 minutes until soft.
  2. Add the fish pie sauce, fish pie mix and peas. Stir to combine, then transfer the fish mix to a 3-litre ovenproof dish.
  3. Stir the parsley into the mashed potato and spoon over the top of the fish mixture. Bake for 20 minutes, until the mashed topping is just starting to brown.
  4. Meanwhile, bring a large pan of water to the boil, add the beans and cook for 5 minutes. Serve the hot pie with the drained green beans.
