You will need

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 325g British chicken thigh fillets, thinly sliced
  • 700g pack basics vegetable stir-fry
  • 440g basics sweet & sour sauce
  • 2 x 410g packs free range fresh egg noodles
  • 1 lime, juice only
  • ½ bunch spring onions, finely sliced, to garnish

Step by step guide to making Easy sweet and sour chicken

  1. Heat the oil in a large frying pan or wok until hot. Add the chicken thigh fillets and cook for 5 minutes until browned, then add the vegetable stir-fry mix and stir-fry for 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in the sweet and sour sauce, and the fresh egg noodles and cook for 3-4 minutes until piping hot.
  3. Divide between 4 bowls and squeeze over the lime juice. Garnish with the finely sliced spring onions, and serve immediately.

Make it veggie: Try swapping the chicken for 396g Cauldron Original Tofu. Cut the tofu into cubes and fry in the oil for 3-4 minutes until browned. Complete as the above recipe.
