Thai-style pork stir-fry

This speedy stir-fry is big on flavour, and works well served on a fresh salad for a lighter option.

You will need

  • Sainsbury's British Thin Cut pork Loin Steaks 800g
  • 6x nests Sharwood's medium Egg Noodles
  • 6 teaspoons cornflour
  • 6 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons sunflower oil, to fry
  • 3cm piece ginger, finely chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 2 yellow peppers
  • 200g broccoli
  • 200g beansprouts
  • 3 teaspoons sesame seeds

Step by step guide to making Thai-style pork stir-fry

  1. Finely slice the pork steaks (you could also use ready prepared pork stir fry strips).
  2. Bring a pan of salted water to the boil, add the noodles, and simmer for 4 minutes.
  3. Roughly chop the vegetables, discarding the seeds from the peppers.
  4. Mix the cornflour with 3 tbsp water, then stir in the honey and soy sauce. Set aside.
  5. Heat the oil in a wok over a high heat, then add the chopped pork and cook for 4 minutes until brown all over.
  6. Add the ginger, garlic, pepper, broccoli and mange tout, and cook for a further 2 minutes.
  7. Reduce the heat, then add the honey and soy mixture, stirring until it thickens.
  8. Finally, having rinsed the noodles in cold water, drain and add them to the wok, tossing all the ingredients together.
  9. Divide between 6 bowls and, and finish with a sprinkling of sesame seeds.
