You will need

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 chicken breast, diced
  • 1 red pepper, washed, deseeded and sliced
  • 175g okra, washed and sliced into chunks (if you can't find okra, use green beans instead)
  • ½ red onion, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 150g pot Indian stir through jalfrezi by Sainsbury's

Step by step guide to making Easy chicken jalfrezi

  1. Heat the oil in a large wok or frying pan over a medium heat. Add the chicken breast and stir-fry for 4 minutes, until browned.
  2. Add the red pepper, okra (or green beans, if using) and red onion, and stir-fry for a further 4 minutes.
  3. Add the Indian stir through jalfrezi sauce, and stir through the chicken and vegetables until it is evenly combined.
  4. Cook for a further 1 minute, until the sauce is piping hot and the chicken is cooked through with no pink remaining. Serve immediately.
