You will need

  • 4 medium free range Woodland eggs
  • 150g green beans, trimmed and cut into 3cm lengths
  • 250g pack British little gem lettuce, washed and shaken dry
  • 225g jar Taste the Difference albacore tuna in extra virgin olive oil, drained and flaked
  • ½ red onion, peeled and finely sliced
  • 4 tablespoons Sainsbury's fresh French dressing
  • 70g pack Sainsbury's oven baked mature Cheddar cheese & garlic croutons

Step by step guide to making French-style tuna salad

  1. Place the eggs in a pan of cold water, bring to the boil then reduce the heat and simmer for 8 minutes until hard-boiled. Run under cold water to cool, then shell and cut in halve.
  2. Meanwhile, cook the beans in a pan of boiling water for 4-5 minutes, until tender. Drain well and set aside.
  3. Place the lettuce leaves ina large salad bowl, add the green beans, tuna and red onion. Drizzle with the dressing, then gently toss together to combine.
  4. Top with the hard-boiled eggs and croutons and serve.
