SMA® Comfort Baby Milk Formula Powder only uses carefully sourced ingredients — no palm oil or fish oil. This specialist powder formula is made with 100% whey, partially hydrolysed protein, and is made to high standards including 500 quality checks. SMA® Comfort Baby Milk Formula Powder can be used as the sole source of nutrition from birth to 6 months of age in place of your usual formula feed and in conjunction with solid food once weaning has begun up to 12 months of age. As the formula is thickened, it may require a fast-flow teat. Do not use with other food thickeners or antacids. SMA® Comfort Baby Milk Formula Powder is a Food for Special Medical Purposes and must be used under medical supervision. This SMA® Comfort Baby Milk Formula Powder has an easy-to-open lid, and the scoop can be stored in suspension inside the can. Colic: All babies cry, but some cry more than others. When there is no obvious cause for excessive crying, it could be a sign of colic. One in five babies experience colic. Colic symptoms usually start in the first few weeks of life and start to improve by 3–4 months. Constipation: All babies will have a different pattern to their bowel movements. Constipation means that it is more difficult for your baby to have a poo. Constipation symptoms include pooing fewer than three times in a week. Constipation in babies is usually easily managed. If you think your baby has colic or constipation, speak to your GP, health visitor, public health nurse or pharmacist for advice.

IMPORTANT FEEDING INFORMATION • Do not add extra powder or water to make feeds stronger or weaker and do not press powder into scoop. Using too much or too little powder can make your baby ill. • We recommend preparing each feed in individual bottles when required. • For hygienic reasons, discard unfinished feed in the bottle as soon as possible. • For older babies, made-up formulae can be added to food but not heated. • For enteral use only. • Do not alter or add to formulae unless medically directed. • Do not warm feeds in a microwave as it will cause milk to thicken, and hot spots may occur and cause scalding. • Remember, cows’ milk should not be used as a drink during the first year. • Do not use with other food thickeners or antacids.
