      12 sensational smoothies straight from the freezer

      For a quick and delicious breakfast or snack, these bag-and-freeze no-fuss smoothies are hard to beat

      1. Berry bouncer

      Bounce through the day with this berry and ginger beauty.

      In the freezer bag:

      250g Sainsbury’s Frozen Black Forest Fruits

      2 tsp Sainsbury’s Frozen Chopped Ginger

      1 tsp ground flaxseed

      Then add to the blender

      1 tbsp maple syrup

      2 tsp lemon juice

      2. Green goddess

      Steaming the kale before chopping and freezing gives this smoothie a more mellow flavour.

      In the freezer bag

      2 handfuls kale (stalks removed, steamed lightly for 5 minutes and chopped)

      200g pineapple (cut into chunks)

      ½ ripe banana

      Then add to the blender

      125ml coconut milk​

      150ml hazelnut milk (you could also use almond milk)

      1 cup cooled strong coffee

      ½ tsp vanilla extract

      Then add to the blender

      1 tsp coconut oil

      ½ banana

      For the blender

      250ml unsweetened almond milk

      2 tbsp almond butter

      1 ripe banana

      ½ tsp Sainsbury’s Frozen Chopped Ginger

      Then add to the blender

      200g plain yoghurt (you can use soy for a dairy-free version)

      1 tbsp maple syrup
