Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Aberlour whisky was born in the Speyside Village of Aberlour, made with local spring water from the Ben rinnes and barley, now locally sourced from the fields near our distillery. Let the casks add depth We mature this single malt in two different casks: American oak and Spanish sherry. Their rich flavours infuse our whisky over time. The look is golden amber, with a little ruby red. The aroma is soft and rounded, with red apples. The taste is sherried, with chocolate, toffee, cinnamon and ginger. The finish is lingering, sweet and warm with a little spice. The deed is in the tasting.

Let the time pass

After twelve years, our craftsmen bring the spirits in both casks together. This is an art, not a science, to get just the right balance of depth and flavour.

Very enjoyable mouth feel and flavoursI was taken by surprise. The first sip has a half-moment of fire but then that's gone - in an instant. So you know you are drinking whisky. Then you get a warming creamy mouth feel with lingering rich toffee sweetness more than anything else. No peat (Speyside). Simply delicious. Don't mix it with anything. One lump of ice or just a sip of water or better straight as poured out of the bottle. I would wlecome this as a present anytime as I think would any Whisky fan.

Smooth and complex tasteI really enjoyed this single malt. It has such a nice balance of flavours going on and is very smooth. I like it with a little splash of water but friends who prefer it neat have said it goes down lovely. Also great as a gift.

Perfect served with ice and time to unwindWhat a whisky! It has a strong taste that is moreish. I have found having it neat over ice is how I like it best as it enables the flavours to come through and is just the best way to unwind on an evening. Mine didn't come with a box but means easier to get to without having to open a box each time! However if you were getting for a gift this might be annoying.

Deliciously smooth.Only an occasional whisky drinker but this was easily the best I have drunk. Didn't get the box but as it was for personal use that didn't matter - it's what is in the bottle that counts! Subtle flavours make it all the more enjoyable.
