Add crunch and rich tangy flavour to a huge variety of meals and snacks with our sweet sliced gherkins. As always, careful preparation is the key for Baxters. We select each gherkin by size, then pick and pack them at their peak to achieve maximum crunch. Every sliced gherkin is preserved in sweetened vinegar, with sea salt and dill adding to that unmistakeably special taste. Use them as the finishing touch in your burger, or as the perfect partner for your sandwiches, wraps and salads.

For more than 150 years, Baxters has brought delicious food from our family’s kitchen to yours.

Our gherkins now grace tables across the world – quite a journey from 1868, when George and Margaret Baxter began selling jams and jellies made from local fruit at their little shop in Scotland.

What has not changed is our devotion to George’s vow to “be different and be better”. We still use fresh local produce – and every recipe is signed off by his great-granddaughter Audrey, the fourth generation of Baxters to lead the company.
