Pyrocalm Control Peppermint Flavour 20mg Gastro-Resistant Tablets contain omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (for example, heartburn, acid regurgitation) in adults aged 18 and over. Reflux occurs when acid travels back up from the stomach into the food pipe which may become inflamed and painful. Heartburn can feel like an uncomfortable burning sensation in the chest, rising up to the throat, sometimes leaving a sour taste in the mouth. Unlike antacids, which neutralise acid already present, Pyrocalm omeprazole 20mg for heartburn works by helping to reduce the amount of acid your stomach produces. Each gastro-resistant tablet is designed to pass through the stomach intact, releasing the active ingredient in the intestine where it is absorbed and takes effect. Take one Pyrocalm peppermint tablet in the morning, with or without food. Swallow whole with water; do not chew or crush. It might be necessary to take the tablets for 2-3 consecutive days to achieve improvement of symptoms. Do not take for more than 14 days without speaking to your doctor. For adults aged 18 and over.
