This premium edition is blended with a pot still infusion of tropical ingredients locally sourced in the Philippines. The honey flavour adds a sweetness to the flavour profile, the wonderful hand-picked calamansi lime (native to the Philippines) contributes distinctive citrus notes while the fiery local pepper, Siling Labuyo, adds a touch of heat and spice. Distilled at 40% ABV, this distinctly rich, sweet, and citrus infused expression evokes the joyous nature of its namesake fiesta.
Don papa is a beautifully moreish super premium rum from the island of Negros, in the Philippines, known locally as Sugarlandia. Created on the fertile foothills of the active volcano Mt Kanlaon; it is a lush, fertile land in which sugarcane thrives.
The brand is inspired by the stories of Papa Isio, the charismatic leader who, in the 1890s, helped drive the Spanish from Negros and win independence for Sugarlandia.
Sugarlandia is the spiritual home of Don Papa Rum. It is not the Negros of the 2020s. Neither is it a literal evocation of the heyday of Negros sugar industry in the 1920s. Rather, Sugarlandia is a timeless place where nature is still the dominant life force, and not everything is as it seems.
