Preparation and Safety

It's simple! Familiarise yourself by reading the instructions and conduct a patch test 48h before use. NOT chocolate brown.I thought I would try this shade, 353, chocolate brown. I usually use goji brown, but fancied something a little lighter. It is easy enough to apply, and wash out, but the colour is NOT chocolate at all. It is a very light brown, with purple undertones! Think I will stick to my usual colour next time.

Warm Brown (reddish undertones)I bought this colour to cover my grey hairs and previously highlighted hair. I've not dyed my hair in over 6 months so it desperately needed colouring! It covered all my greys and highlights. It's quite a warm brown with reddish undertones. It looks more on the red/brown side in natural light. Overall, happy with the product and it's left my hair feeling super soft!

Great colour and covers my greysI bought this yesterday from your store to try , I not dyed my hair before, I have so many grey hairs that I wanted them to be coloured and this does a great job and in the sunlight the different colours show up nicely, my friend uses this semi permanent range so she did my hair . Certainly recommend it, I used Chocolate

Nourished colour.So I got this casting creme gloss hair colour in chocolate for free from L'OrÃ©al and my hair feels amazing. I chose chocolate as it looked closest to my natural colour and I just wanted to cover my greys. It worked a treat which surprised me as it has no amonia in it. My hair feels nourished and it looks 'alive' again. Will definately be using this brand again as it's such a good colour. The only reason I have given 4 stars and not 5 is because I have thick shoulder length hair and I had to literally squeeze every drop out of the bottle and spread it as thinly as possible. Overall though, very good.

Shiny health hairAs a hairdresser I tend not to use home dye kits but as this casting creme glass was sent to me free from Loreal Paris I thought I would give it a bash. I was quite impressed by this product overall. It didn't have that overpowering smell that most colouring kits come with. The conditioner, although not the greatest smell, was great. It left my hair smooth and sleek and shiny and lasted for an extra few washes. The ammonia free formula is great for those who wish to colour their hair but have an allergy to ammonia. I would suggest that if your hair is longer than shoulder length then use two boxes of the product as there was only just enough product to colour my hair which is just to my shoulders. The price of the product is good and is mearly a fraction of the cost of a professional colour at the salon. Overall I would say this is a good product

Not quite the colour on the boxI found that this dye didn't go the colour on the box. It went quite a dark brown! It was still a nice colour though which is why im rating it 3/5 still. The instructions were easy to follow and the hair dye itself was easy to put on. The colour seems to be lasting well aswell. I've had red in my hair before and it doesn't seem to be showing through!

Sad to say it wasn't for meI have to admit I do regularly dye my barnett, but had never tried Casting Creme Gloss, so what a bonus getting it for FREE! I'm always wary of the size of the product supplied, as I have long hair, I wouldn't say thick, but a lot of it! So I always struggle with getting a good coverage with shop bought ones. This however did surprise me... a lot.... it covered the whole of me hair with no scrimping and scraping the bottle out at the end. The smell of the product wasn't great though, in fact it was one of the worse I have used, I was on countdown to rinse off; the conditioner was slightly better but not great smelling. One the plus side, the conditioner has lasted 3 hair washes!
The condition of my hair felt fab and refreshed, however the colour was only marginly darker than prior to dying. I had a red/purple tinge to my hair to start with, but as Casting Creme gloss said it was for highlighted and treated hair I thought I'd be in for a refreshing change. Not 1 person has noticed I have dyed my hair!! I did look healthier and better condtion but nothing worth raving about. I was gutted, maybe I should have left on longer because of the product already in my hair?... but it never said that on the instructions.
I did find the instructions very 'busy' to read and jumps around the page, which was a little confusing. The gloves in the kit were better than average.
Overall I'm sad to say I wont be purchasing this again as it just didnt colour my hair to the chocolate brown it said on the box.

Not total coverage for grey strandsWell a few weeks before receiving the casting creme gloss for. Free from l'oreal I found a few grey strands of hair near my ears on the underside of hair. ð±
So I was very glad to receive this product.

Using it was easy, the smell was ok not too over powering and there was no dripping or splashing once on. In fact it was so good I did the washing up! Tee hee.

Washing it out was easy too, didn't take long to rinse through clear and the condition was so nice. Once my hair was dry it was sliky smooth and smelt lovely. The colour was great, blended well with my original colour.

After a day I checked where I had previously found a few grey strands and I have to say they were still there! Not as grey but I could certainly tell they were very different to the rest of the hair in the section. I did ask my hubby to double check and he was polite but could tell there were strands of a very different colour.

Over all I loved the products coverage, smell, colour and after feel, but wouldnt recommend it for grey coverage.
