Absolutely revoltingI bought this as a treat for my mother who is gluten free and dairy free. We opened it at a dinner for 7 people - we all love strong dark chocolate. Every single one of us spat it out. It was truly vile. It tasted like dirt.

Quality Chocolate!

Can't think why others have reviewed this chocolate badly... like another reviewer said, this is serious chocolate ! I chose this as have just gone vegan and also wanted a dark chocolate for health benefits, this looked good and I wasn't disappointed. Definate chocolate hit, loving the crunchy nibs - tiny amount of orange in the background, its smooth and not bitter at all. I'd really recommend this , and I'll definitely be buying again. (Please make this chocolate with some raspberry flavours !)

It's a matter of taste - not for meI am on a low sugar low carb diet. I can eat 85% cocoa chocolate happily so thought I should try this as it is so low in both things I need to avoid. I have no doubt this is beautifully made but it is only for those who like this sort of chocolate. Trying to eat it would be similar I guess to someone trying to drink strong black real coffee who really only likes white instant with sugar - only more so. It might be that one could train oneself to get used to it but I don't ever see myself eating it. I found it so bitter that it was not in the least bit enjoyable for me. I could smell the orange oil and feel the crunch of the nibs, both of which were welcome, but they did not sufficiently alleviate the bitterness to make the chocolate palatable for me. I managed 1 square only. However, I don't see why I cannot grate it and use it in cooking in the place of cocoa - no need to throw it away if one does not like it as a bar. So you could still try it and see how you find it, but maybe see how you find other 70% plus bars first - if you find those quite bitter you are unlikely to be able to eat this.

Serious chocolateThis is a serious chocolate bar for those who love high cocoa chocolate. You only need a few pieces AND you get the hit without the sugar. It does taste strong (cocoa) and is surprisingly different the first time. It's fabulous!

My Teen who eats 70% cocoa with enjoyment finds it too strong (Hurrah! More for me!).

NBThey also produce a version with almonds and a version with mint

QualityI have tried various 100% dark chocolate makes and this is the most tolerable. The orange made it tolerable. I craved something sweet afterwards - it at least did not get caught up in my throat like the other well known makes which are so cloying, thick and bitter. For anyone on a sugar-free diet this is perfect.

I have been fighting cancer so I have had to reduce my sugar intake to almost zero. I won't buy again as its too bitter for me but I can see that it is perfect for those seeking the lowest sugar ever. I love chocolate but this is a bridge too far for me. I can see the benefit but I will still eat the rest of the bar because I am really greedy!

God-send for chocaholics who are avoiding sugarI'm off sugar and this chocolate bar has changed my life.

Lovely crispy texture caused by the nibs, and a nice mellow dark orange flavour that has the side effect of sweetening it up slightly.

Yes, very dark chocolate is an acquired taste, so do be prepared for it to be considerably less sweet than a normal chocolate bar.. ..but if you're already reading this review, chances are you're already a convert to low-sugar chocolate.

Of the three different flavours of this bar, this one is far and above my favourite.
