Ingredients:
Sainsburys Turkey Seasoning
Whole turkey (Approx 4-5kg)
150g unsalted butter- softened
Method:
Preheat oven to 200°C /Fan 180°C /Gas 6.
1. Mix the butter and the seasoning together.
2. Place the turkey in a large roasting tray & pat dry with paper towel.
3. Gently loosen the skin around the breast and thighs, by sliding a spoon or your fingers underneath, being careful not to tear the skin.
4. Using a spatula, spread the butter mix evenly under the loosened skin, cover with foil & oven roast as per turkey cooking instructions, basting occasionally.
5. 30 mins before the end of cooking, remove the foil to allow the turkey to brown.
6. Once cooked remove from the oven, check product is piping hot and ensure the juices run clear. Re-cover with foil and leave to rest for 30 mins before serving.
