Tasty cheese substituteVegan "hard cheese" does not really emulate dairy cheese in my opinion. I have come across some "soft cheese" substitutes which are quite good but it seems more difficult to emulate the taste, texture and "meltability" of dairy cheese. That said this cheese substitute is tasty and makes a decent sandwich etc. It does soften under heat without melting completely which I prefer. It is certainly a favourite of mine for flavour and texture.

vegan cheese..... and it's marvellous!vegan cheese is a tricky business. I've tried everything though the years and this is the closest to traditional cheddar I've ever found. it's not the best but definitely the easiest to find. well worth buying

Really excellent!Not only is this the best dairy free cheese on the market, it tastes better than most of the regular cheeses on offer, including Cracker Barrel's own regular cheese! I've been dairy free for over a year now, and I had given up looking for a cheese, as most are not very nice, this one is excellent, tastes great, melts well for toasties, grates well too, some have complained in the reviews that it is crumbly, it is a bit, but I'm fine with that, managed to slice it with no problems.
