Cooking instructions: General
To pan fry from chilled but can also be oven cooked, barbecued or air fried. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking.
All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only.
Shallow fry: From Chilled
Before cooking: Remove all packaging and set sauce sachet to one side. Heat 10ml of oil in a frying pan. Once oil hot, add the chicken.
During cooking: Cook for 15 minutes on a moderate heat, turning occasionally. Add sauce and cook for a further 2 minutes turning the chicken in the sauce.
After cooking: Check food is piping hot throughout, all juices run clear and no pink colour remains.
Oven cook: From Chilled
Before cooking: Preheat oven to 190°C / Fan 170°C / Gas 5. Remove all packaging and set sachet to one side. Place thigh fillets flat on a baking tray on the middle shelf of the oven.
During cooking: Cook for 25 minutes. Pour sauce over chicken and cook for a further 5 minutes.
After cooking: Check food is piping hot throughout, all juices run clear and no pink colour remains.
To serve: Mix cooking juices on baking tray with sauce, pour over chicken and serve.
Barbecue: From Chilled
This is a guideline only. Results may vary due to differences in barbecue equipment, cooking temperatures and weather conditions. Place chicken on a lightly oiled preheated rack over glowing hot coals or on a preheated high heat gas BBQ following manufacturer's instructions. Turn frequently and cook until evenly browned with light charring. Remove chicken from rack and coat with sauce and cook for a further 5 minutes. After cooking check food is piping hot throughout, all juices run clear and no pink colour remains.
Air fry: From Chilled
Before cooking: Remove all packaging and set sauce sachet to one side. Place chicken in air fryer tray spread in one even layer. Air fryers vary in performance so please consult manufacturer's guidance. Cook times are only a guideline and based on a full pack.
During cooking: Cook for 17 minutes at 180°C. Add sauce and cook for a further 2 minutes.
After cooking: Check food is piping hot throughout, all juices run clear and no pink colour remains.
Safety: This product is not suitable for rare cooking. Do not undercook raw meat. Keep raw meat and sauce sachet separate from cooked foods. Use separate kitchen utensils and surfaces for raw meat and cooked foods or wash them thoroughly between use. Wash hands after handling raw meat and sauce sachet. Cook thoroughly until piping hot throughout, no pink colour remains and the juices run clear. If not fully cooked in accordance with the instructions harmful bacteria may remain. Although every care has been taken to remove all bones, some may remain.
