Our Cullen Skink soup has a flavour as alluring, traditional and memorable as the story behind its name. Skink comes from Scots Gaelic and Cullen from the fishing port near our base in north-east Scotland. The finest haddock is specially selected and smoked over wood chips in our finest smokeries, before adding fresh Scottish potatoes, onions and double cream. The result is Cullen skink, a rich and evocative smoked haddock chowder. It’s taste of the sea, a taste of Scotland, and a creamy, dreamy treat for you and your family.

Our tinned soup soups and chowders now grace tables across the world – quite a journey from 1868, when George and Margaret Baxter began selling jams and jellies made from local fruit at their little shop in Scotland.
What has not changed is our devotion to George’s vow to “be different and be better”. We still use fresh local produce – and every recipe is signed off by his great-granddaughter Audrey, the fourth generation of Baxters to lead the company.

Empty contents into a saucepan and heat gently for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Do not boil.
Cooking instructions: Microwave
800W (3 mins 30 secs), 900W (3 mins 20 secs), 1000W(3 mins 10 secs). Empty contents into a microwaveable container and cover. Heat on fill power, stirring halfway through.
Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, empty contents into a suitable food container and refrigerate below 5°C. Consume within 2 days. For best before end: See end of can
