Rich, meaty and clear, our beef consommé is a sumptuous addition to any lunchtime or evening meal. This is one of our most traditional recipes, and over the years we’ve refined it to create the perfect consommé soup you can savour today. At its core is a hearty beef stock, which we season with several spices. A drop or two of cask-aged sherry add the final touch of flavour. Enjoy as a consommé soup, or use it as a stock to beef up your sauces or stews.
For more than 150 years, Baxters has brought delicious food from our family’s kitchen to yours.
Our tinned soup now graces tables across the world – quite a journey from 1868, when George and Margaret Baxter began selling jams and jellies made from local fruit at their little shop in Scotland.
What has not changed is our devotion to George’s vow to “be different and be better”. We still use fresh local produce – and every recipe is signed off by his great-granddaughter Audrey, the fourth generation of Baxters to lead the company.

Empty contents into a saucepan and heat gently for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Do Not Boil
Cooking instructions: Microwave
Cat D 750W - 3 1/2 mins, Cat E 850W - 3 mins. Empty contents into a microwaveable container and cover. Stir halfway through cooking.
Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, empty contents into a suitable food container and refrigerated below 5°C. Consume within 2 days. For Best Before End: See End of Can
