Preparation and Safety

Simple steps! Stir ready to spread icing, at room temperature, with a rounded knife To ice: Spread or pipe onto your cooled Betty Crocker™ cake or cupcakes. To glaze: 1. Spread a very thin layer (about 1/3 of the tub) on top of the cooled cake 2. Remove foil seal completely before placing in microwave oven. Place the tub with the remaining icing, in the microwave oven, uncovered. Microwave at 800W for 20 seconds. 3. Stir thoroughly until smooth. If too thick to pour, microwave 5 to 10 seconds longer. 4. Pour icing over your cake so that it drips down on the sides. Ready to spread: One tub contains enough icing to cover and fill one 20cm double layer cake (serves 12) or up to 27 cupcakes. Remove foil seal completely before placing in microwave oven. Caution: Do not overheat- icing may become hot. Handle with care.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place before opening. Once opened seal and refrigerate any remaining icing for up to 30 days. Best before: see base of tub.

A brand I can always trustWhenever I feel I don't have time to make frosting/icing from scratch, I know I can rely on Betty Crocker. This chocolate fudge icing was no different. Tasted gorgeous on my cupcakes. My Nan hosts a quiz night yearly at her local church and last night I prepared some cupcakes for them. I used this icing and the cupcakes were a hit! I will definitely continue to purchase this product going forward.

Rich and chocolateyA luxury chocolate icing ready to use! The icing is very thick but it has multi use, needs to be microwaved for few seconds to pipe or spread or warm slightly longer for runny consistency for glazing. The icing is nice and chocolatey and not too sweet. It's convenient to have this in cupboard when baking regularly.

Convenient and tastyI thought this was so convenient to use , cuts down on the time once you’ve baked your cake ! Turns an ordinary sponge into something more delicious, I use it to sandwich two sponges together and for topping too ! Just a little expensive to use all the time as I can make more of iit and cheaper , but still keep one in the cupboard handy ( buy when on offer) great rich chocolate Taste and even better when I sprinkle chocolate chips on top too!!

My go to cake icing !!I use this cake icing regularly and it never fails to please. I use this when layering up and on the top as icing too. One tub can easily cover a full 8" sponge cake or roughly 24 muffins, dependant on size of course. I've always got one in my cupboard as a "go to" !!
