History: Cave de Lugny is a century-old grower cooperative built around the idea of local winegrowers working together, which has grown into one of southern Burgundy's leading specialists in Chardonnay and Mâconnais wines.
Regional information: The region is particularly renowned for Chardonnay, producing fresh, aromatic white wines with a balance of fruit, minerality and richness. Around Lugny, vineyards benefit from a relatively warm, sunny climate while limestone and clay soils contribute freshness and structure to the wines.
Vinification: Sourced from the limestone rich vineyards of Lugny in the Mâconnais, on south to south-east facing slopes. Cool fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks.
