Preparation and Safety

Over life, small black spots may develop within the dough. These are specks of bran which are naturally occurring within the flour. These will not have any adverse effect on the quality of the dough and will disappear during the cooking process.

Cooking instructions: Oven cook

1. Preheat your oven to 200°C/Fan 180°C/Gas 6 and remove the pizza dough from the packaging to use immediately. 2. Unroll the pizza dough carefully and place the dough, whilst still on the baking paper, on to a baking tray. 3. Get creative! Start by adding our PizzaExpress Pizza Sauce and Pizza Cheese to your base, plus any other toppings you'd like. 4. Once topped, cook in your pre-heated oven for 16-18 minutes. You'll know the pizza is cooked when the toppings are golden brown and the base is crispy. 5. Now time to enjoy! These are guidelines only as all cooking appliances vary in performance. Ensure product is thoroughly cooked and piping hot before serving. Not suitable for microwave cooking. If there are any leftovers, please do not reheat, it's great when cold. Enjoy!

UNPLEASANT AND SADLY NOT A PERFECT PIZZAUnfortunately, can't give zero. I haven't tasted anything as bad as this for a long time. More cardboardy than the cheapest supermarket pizza. I bake bread weekly but was short of time and thought this might be a helpful option, given the company! More fool me. I followed directions, I have a baking stone sadly it wasn't going to help this appalling waste of money.

Not easy to use for several reasonsFirstly I found the roll difficult to unroll because it was so sticky. Because of the shape (rectangular not round) it didn't fit on my pizza stone, which is a pity because it may have cooked better. I didn't overload it with toppings, but even so it didn't cook through, remaining doughy in the middle despite it starting to char on the edges. I followed the instructions by leaving it on the paper while cooking, but it was really difficult to get if off the paper before eating. I'm afraid I won't buy this again.

Quick family dinnerGreat concept for a quick home-cooked meal. I really liked the flavour, it tasted of sour dough bread. I'm not sure if I added too much passata but I found the edges really crispy and the middle a bit soggy. Maybe I didn't cook it long enough. It's not the same as fresh pizza and if I had time I would make the dough myself but this is a very handy product to have in the fridge for those occasions where you are just short of time.

Super convenientThis rolled pizza dough is great to have in the fridge for a quick, easy put together meal and it cooks quickly in the oven. It was great for the kids to be able to have fun creating their own dinner. The dough didn't really have any flavour so it created a great blank canvas to add any flavours you desired with the sauce or toppings.

Convenient, but not a match for freshly madeThis dough is a convenient and vegan-friendly option. Provided a pizza stone is used, you can achieve a crispy base and decent rise. The taste and texture if cooked this way is good, although it seems others have mixed opinions, which may be down to their baking method.
