Rich taste. Excellent value for money.Just used this in making an apple pie - delicious & the right consistency. The texture was more-ish as was the flavour. The sweetness was just right and I'm popping the cooked apple pie in the freezer for eating later, knowing the preservation won't diminish the flavour. Thank you Sainsbury's - Princes Fruit Filling Apple is just what the mouth orderefd!

Apple fillingLike this, so quick and easy to use. I bought Sainsbury's crumble mix to make a very simple apple crumble, takes all the hard work out of peeling apples and cooking them until they are just right. Also I think it would be nice to put on top of vanilla ice cream. This is a good product and very handy in the cupboard.

So easy, cut puff pastry into 4inch squares add in apple & pinch of cinnamon & fold over pastry, egg wash - 180 x 10mins - Delish

A tin of gloop!I bought Princes tinned apple because my local Sainsbury's was out of stock of their own brand tinned apple which I normally buy. It was absolutely disgusting. A tin of thick gloop, with pieces of apple barely larger than the size of a pea. A look at the ingredients confirmed why. Apple 45%! The other 55% is made up of sugar, water and starch, to thicken it up, hence the gloopy consistency. Compare this with Sainsbury's own brand. Ingredients: Apples 100% A tin ful of lovely big chunks of apple, perfect for pies and desserts. I wish I could give this product zero stars in every category.
