Red Wine
Vegan friendly
This Pinot Noir is vibrant, with flavours of fresh cherry and strawberry, layered with a hint of raspberry leaf. Subtle, light oak and spice notes lead into a long, lingering finish.
Rev. Father John Sloane blessed the land at the first vine planting celebration in Blenheim, Marlborough in 1974. With this blessing the Marlborough region has become synonymous for some of the best wine producing grapes and wines in the world.

History: Viticulture pioneers since 1978, Neal and Judy established Saint Clair Family Estate in 1994 to showcase the exceptional quality of their Marlborough grapes in their own finished wines. The estate is named after the property's original pioneer settler, James Sinclair. Their mission is to create world-class wines. To achieve this, Neal combines his viticultural expertise and Marlborough's unique climate with the talent of one of New Zealand's leading winemaking teams to exceed every expectation.
Regional information: Marlborough has a cool martitime climate with high sunshine hours, low rainfall and a large diurnal temperature variation. Combined these conditions allow a long even ripening period which allows the grapes to achieve full phenolic ripeness while preserving all important acidity for freshness in the wines. With clay rich soils which moderate the Pinot Noir vines, this is a perfect region for producing pure, intense expressions of this grape.
Vinification: At the winery, each grape batch was cold-soaked for five days to maximize colour and flavour extraction. After inoculation, the juice was hand-plunged multiple times daily during peak fermentation. Once dry, each batch was pressed, settled, racked off gross lees, and seasoned with French oak beans. Following malolactic fermentation, the wine parcels were assessed, blended, lightly filtered, and gently prepared for bottling.
