GONE DOWNHILL, not as good as they were!Sorry but i am really disappointed with these crisps, they used to be lovely and quite thick and chunky. But i haven't had for a while as they don't sell in the shops where i live and they seemed to be out of stock for a while from sainsburys. I agree with one of the reviews on here, the oil used has changed from sunflower oil to rapeseed oil. Yuk!
And the actual crisp itself is not as thick and looks and feels to me a little smaller. Maybe Seabrookes have changed the type of potato they use. i know Kettle crisps changed the potato they used and it resulted in a poorer quality crisp which is why i no longer buy them and prefer pipers, Tyrell, Burts or sainsburys own make..
And yes the ready salted seabrooks crisps as stated in another review, they do leave an unpleasant residue in the mouth due to poorer quality oil used.
WHY? I can only think the changes made are to reduce the production costs, which in my opinion is a mistake as I won't personally buy again. yet another product which has deteriated due to greed, it was bad enough they reduced 6 bags in the multi pack to 5 bags ( a lot of crisp and snack companies did this) Shame, but I would rather pay a bit more for a better quality & more enjoyable crisp!

Fantastic crisps!I love these and tried to order them recently from Sainsbury's and they weren't available, so I was really glad that I was able to add them to my last order. Neither my husband nor my son had tried them before and they both raved about them independently. They're crispy, crinkly with great taste - everything you want in a crisp!

Made with RAPESEED oil instead of sunflower, awfulHaven't had these for a while and wondered why they tasted so peculiar, unpleasantly greasy too. Checked ingredients and discovered they are now made with RAPESEED oil instead of 100% sunflower. Would never have bought if this had been flagged up.

King of CrispsPotato, oil and salt in harmony. I'm never sure why crinkle-cut crisps taste better, maybe it's to do with surface area, but they just do. I'll eat a rival brand if necessary but I wouldn't climb over these to get them.

Too greasyI bought these one week when Walkers Ready Salted were out of stock. They are good but using Sunflower oil (Walkers use Rapeseed oil) I found them too greasy.
Would still buy another time if Walkers were not in stock.
