Cooking instructions: Oven
Oven cook from chilled. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. Before cooking 1. Remove joint from the packaging and allow to breathe at room temp for up to 30 minutes. 2. Preheat the oven to 220°C/Fan 200°C/Gas 7. 3. Brush the joint with 5ml of oil and season with salt and pepper. During cooking 1. Sear all sides of the joint in a hot pan for 6 minutes. 2. Place the joint in a roasting dish and place in the centre of the pre heated oven and cook for 15 minutes. 3. After 15 minutes reduce the heat to 190°C/Fan 170°C/Gas Mark 5 and continue to cook for a further 30 minutes per 500g. Roast Electric 190°C Fan 170°C Gas mark 5 Medium 30 mins per 500g After cooking 1. Remove from oven, cover joint in foil and leave to rest for 20 minutes. 2. Check food is piping hot. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only.
