We have been making our mouth-watering mueslis since the seventies, when a Weetabix employee was enjoying a family holiday to Switzerland and discovered a delicious, yet nutritious new breakfast cereal that everyone there was eating – Muesli! He was so impressed by it that he brought the recipe back to the Weetabix Head Office, here in Northamptonshire! His colleagues were soon smitten too, and began to work on the UK’s first Muesli recipe, with Alpen launching in 1971.
Over 50 years later and Alpen remains the nation’s No 1 favourite Muesli and the grown-up breakfast choice.
