Strange flavour and thicknessI was disappointed with this hot chocolate. The consistency was excessively thick and difficult to mix thoroughly. After finishing the drink, I discovered a substantial amount of undissolved powder clinging to the side of the cup, resembling cake mix. The first listed ingredient is sugar, which is clearly visible in the coarse texture of the powder. Additionally, the drink had an unusual flavour and an unpleasant aftertaste, which left a strange sensation on my tongue.

Creamy and tasty!I genuinely can't understand the previous reviews that state it is unpleasant? It's nicer than Cadbury's and generally really tasty. We heat the milk with the frother on our coffee machine and it's really nice! Only thing I'd say is that is rather pricey, but OK for a treat!

Nothing like Costa Hot Chocolate!!This was sickening. I had such high hopes for it but was disappointed by how foul it was. It tasted burnt, bitter and salty. The consistency was gloopy and oily. Tasted like a hot chocolate left out to go rancid. Also the powder did not mix well with the milk. I had to throw the whole tub away after tasting it as I nearly vomited!!

Vile, revolting, putridThere are not enough words in the dictionary. Has the consistency of glue and has the delightful aftertaste of Sweetex, if you remember that from years ago. There should be a warning label: 'Warning: This product could make you puke'.

How do Costa make this taste so vile?This was sent as an alternative to green and blacks 95% cocoa powder. I wanted cocoa powder but this stuff contains salt, thickener, and flavourings and only 36% cocoa. It doesn't taste of chocolate, it's artificial and so nasty I had to tip it down the sink. What a waste.

Lovely 🥰I’ve never liked hot chocolate until I tasted Costa’s. Then to my delight, found I could by it from Sainsbury’s Yay! I’ve since realised I only actually need 2 little tea spoon heaps per cup. Which I then mix a little cold milk in, to make a paste before filling the rest of the cup up with milk. Then pop it in the microwave like I normally do to make my coffee lattes. About 1.50 mins for my 800 watt. Time differs on different microwave. This hot chocolate has a lovely smooth sweet chocolate taste, and leaves a nice taste in the mouth afterwards. Unlike the well known fav brand my son likes.
The quality tin the Costa comes in, keeps the powder fresh and the tin can be reused afterwards. I hide some chocolate bars in one. So I actually get a mum treat, and not find my lot have scoffed my share as well. Which has now baffled them he he.
