You've tried the rest...I've tried many, many cheaper and a few more expensive (more "authentic")jars of lime pickle. I've even made my own from scratch but, for that perfect balance of tang, heat and salty unami with a hint of sweetness, I haven't found any to match a jar of Sharwood's

Best lime pickle on the marketBeen reading the reviews. Some raised my eyebrows. Someone complaining about it being too hot. It is the mildest lime pickle, and best balanced flavour wise that we have tried so I am sorry that person cannot cope with it. Someone asking for a smaller jar because they cannot finish it before it goes off so they bin most of it. What a waste! I suggest freezing it in small containers. Another complained about pieces of lime being too big. I suggest he/she puree the contents with a food blitzer. My hubby does that for his jar because he also likes to spread the pickle, which he does in two ways: 1) over toast for breakfast under Brie or another mild cheese, and 2) over battered or breadcrumbed fish after cooking. I love the crunch of a good-sized piece of lime and never want to spread the pickle over anything. I put a goodly amount on the side of my plate, pick up a little of whatever comes up on my orkful of food. Perfect.

Authentic Lime PickleDisregard the poor reviews, too big a jar, too hot, too much Lime etc, etc. Lime pickle is meant to be hot !! not at all bitter and contains good size chunks of Lime not the usual mush you find in some other products.
