Sainsbury's Discovery 598g Pork Cutlets, Taste the Difference

Cooking instructions: Oven

To pan fry and oven cook from chilled. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. Before cooking: Preheat oven to 180°C, Fan 160°C, Gas 4. Remove sleeve and film and set aside the butter pellet and salt sachet. Allow the cutlets to rest at room temperature for 15 minutes. Heat 15ml of vegetable oil in a frying pan on a moderate heat. Season the cutlets on both sides using the salt sachet. Sear the cutlets fat-side down for 1 minute, and then for 2 minutes each side. Place cutlets back into the foil tray and onto a baking tray. During cooking: Cook for 20 minutes on the middle shelf of the oven. After cooking: Allow the meat to rest for 5 minutes before serving. Whilst resting, add the butter to the pan the cutlets were seared in, melt it using low heat and pour over the cutlets once rested. Check food is piping hot throughout, all juices run clear and no pink colour remains. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only.
