Sainsbury's Discovery 598g Pork Ribeye Steaks, Taste the Difference

Cooking instructions: Oven

To pan fry and oven cook from chilled. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. Before cooking: Preheat oven to 180°C, Fan 160°C, Gas 4. Remove sleeve and film and set aside the butter pellet and seasoning sachet. Allow the steaks to rest at room temperature for 15 minutes. Heat 15ml of vegetable oil in a frying pan on a moderate heat. Season the steaks on both sides using the seasoning sachet. Remove steaks from the foil tray and sear around the edges of the meat for 2 minutes and then for 2 minutes each side. Place steaks back into the foil tray and onto a baking tray. During cooking: Cook for 30 minutes on the middle shelf of the oven. After cooking: Allow the meat to rest for 5 minutes before serving. Whilst resting, add the butter to the pan the steaks were seared in, melt it using low heat and pour over the steaks once rested. Check food is piping hot throughout, all juices run clear and no pink colour remains. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only.

Cook thoroughly until piping hot throughout, no pink colour remains and the juices run clear.
