History: Julia is the only daughter of José Alberto. Created in her honor, Santa Julia represents our commitment to reaching only the highest standards of quality through sustainable practices that contribute to the care of the environment and being useful to the community in which we live. Owned by the Zuccardi family. The first family to grow organically in Mendoza. Today they have 305 hectares certified organic by Letis.
Regional information: Maipú is one of Mendoza's oldest and most historic wine regions, located just southeast of Mendoza City. Known for its warm, dry climate, abundant sunshine, and low rainfall, the region is ideal for producing ripe, concentrated grapes. The sandy and alluvial soils, combined with irrigation from Andean snowmelt, encourage healthy vine growth and consistent quality. Maipú is particularly renowned for Malbec, producing wines with generous fruit character, soft tannins, and excellent balance.
Vinification: The wine is made from hand-harvested grapes, picked between late February and early March, and fermented with indigenous yeasts at cool temperatures of 16-18°C. A classic fermentation is followed by 15 days of maceration and natural malolactic fermentation. Careful oxygen management and cold stabilisation help preserve freshness and purity, while the wine is bottled without oak ageing, fining, or filtration to maintain its authentic character and varietal expression.
