History: We make mountain wines. The Andes Mountain Range determines the identity of our wines, since it is decisive in the climate, water and soils. Some years before 1950, engineer Alberto ‘Tito' Zuccardi began experimenting with new irrigation systems due to water scarcity. In 1963 he planted a vineyard in the Maipú region, aiming to show other neighbouring farmers how his irrigation system worked, not realising that this would be the beginning of his life's passion.
Regional information: Paraje Altamira is located on a plain south of the source of the Tunuyán River, between 1050 and 1150 meters of altitude, and occupies the highest part of its alluvial fan. This area has a cool temperate climate, with great thermal amplitude. Its soils stand out for the presence of a large conglomerate of stones and granite gravel covered with calcareous material, where huge rocks weighing up to 20 tons can be found.
Vinification: The wine is fermented with native yeasts in concrete vessels and also aged in concrete. It show great purity and transparency, with vibrant acidity and an enormous complexity of aromas.
