Cooking instructions: Oven
Oven cook from chilled. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. Before cooking: Preheat oven. Place the chicken in ovenable bag in a deep roasting tin (approx. 5 cm deep). Cook for 1 hour 5 minutes on the middle shelf of the oven. Make sure the bag does not touch the oven walls, shelves or heating element. During cooking: Remove from the oven, place on a flat heatproof surface and open the bag carefully by slitting down the front of the bag with scissors. Take care when opening the bag as steam will be released. Baste the chicken with the cooking juices and return to the oven and cook for a further 20 minutes. Handle with care: The bag may open during cooking and cause cooking juices to seep from the foil tray into the roasting tin. After cooking: Check food is piping hot throughout, all juices run clear and no pink colour remains. Allow to stand for 10 minutes before carving. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only. Oven cook from chilled 200°C / Fan 180°C / Gas 6 1 hour 25 mins
Warnings:
Safety: This product is not suitable for rare cooking. Do not undercook raw meat. Keep raw meat separate from cooked foods. Use separate kitchen utensils and surfaces for raw meat and cooked foods or wash them thoroughly between use.
Wash hands after handling raw meat. Cook thoroughly until piping hot throughout, no pink colour remains and the juices run clear. If not fully cooked in accordance with the instructions harmful bacteria may remain.
Take extreme care when opening the bag as steam will escape and the bag will be full of hot cooking juices. Always support the foil tray on the baking tray.

For use by date: see front of pack. Keep refrigerated. Once opened, use within 1 day and do not exceed the use by date.
For best quality, freeze as soon as possible after purchase and always within the use by date. Once frozen consume within 1 month. Defrost thoroughly for a minimum of 2 days in the refrigerator. Once defrosted use the same day. Do not refreeze once defrosted.
