A vibrant vegetarian dish rooted in Northern Indian tradition, our Aubergine Masala is a crowd pleaser and perfect way to elevate any meal.

We roast aubergine in small batches, then fold it into a lightly spiced masala made with cumin, coriander and chilli. We add cherry tomatoes for a sweet tang and fried aubergine pieces for depth and richness.

Lastly, we top the dish with fresh coriander to create that restaurant experience at home.

Oven cook from either chilled or frozen. Before cooking: Preheat oven. Remove sleeve and pierce film. Place on a baking tray on the middle shelf of the oven. After cooking: Stir thoroughly. Check food is piping hot. Allow to stand for 1 minute. Do not reheat once cooled. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only. Oven cook from chilled 190°C / Fan 170°C / Gas 5 20 mins

So nice, that I decided to read what the ingredients were....
'Sodium Hydrogen Sulphite'
This doesn't strike me as a classic Indian ingredient.
Scanning with my Yuka app, it rates poor, 49/100.
Reason why? 'High risk additives'
Why are Sainsburys putting rubbish like this in food?
My prawn curry doesn't contain this, rates excellent and tastes great, so it can be done.
