History: Argea (Botter S.P.A) was born in 1928 in Fossalta di Piave, a small town near Venice, to Carlo Botter and his wife Maria when they began the business of selling local wines in barrels and demijohns. In the 1960's they moved to selling bottled wine under the direction of brothers Arnaldo and Enzo Botter. Today they are one of the largest producers and exporters of wine in Italy. The winery is now run by the third generation of the Botter family.
Regional information: In the Bidente Valley, in the Apennines on the border with Tuscany overlooking the Riviera Romagnola, Poderi dal Nespoli is rooted in soils with excellent pedoclimatic characteristics for wine production. Sangiovese is an integral part of Romagna's winemaking and is particularly prominent in their Rosé wines.
Vinification: Vines are 10-20 years old and grown on a vertical trellis system. Soil is medium textured clay soil. Wine experiences 6 hours cold maceration and fermented at 14/21°C in stainless steel tanks for 8-10 days. It the experiences lees contact/battonage and no barrel aging.
