When I cooked this I wasn’t expecting much, but……I’d found it at the back of the freezer and assumed it had been quietly retired there for a reason.

Turns out it’s excellent. The coating goes properly crisp, the chicken is actually juicy, and it tastes suspiciously like something you’d overpay for in a pub while pretending it’s “artisanal”.

I put it in the oven with very low expectations and ended up hovering near the tray like it might try to escape. I had it on its own, no bun, no chips, no ceremony — just me and the burger — and it absolutely held up.

This was meant to be a forgettable freezer meal. It is now something I will deliberately buy again.

Why did you change them? They were delicious.I used to buy these burgers and they used to be delicious. Recently the recipe changed and now they are smaller and flatter and taste badly. Very disappointing, won't be buying them again.

Awful changeThese are significantly smaller and flatter than they were. They resemble the cheap supermarket own brand versions that are a fraction of the cost of these. They are also now loose in the cardboard box, so subject to contamination.

Disappointing change has spoilt theseBefore the ‘relaunch’, I bought and loved the old style product. But the fillets are now smaller, flatter, soggier and just like any old cheap frozen chicken. I’m so sad to lose the old style ones, and they are just not worth the expense now.

Change the recipe and now look sadConsistently brought these before Birds Eye changed the look. They’re now flat with smaller breadcrumbs so the chicken burgers look very sad and unappetising. Won’t be buying again and will be looking for an alternative
