Cooking instructions: Oven
Oven cook from chilled. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. Before cooking: Preheat oven. Remove all packaging and allow to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes. Brush the joint with 5ml of oil and season with salt and pepper. During cooking: Sear all sides of the joint in a hot pan for 6 minutes. Place the joint in a roasting dish on the middle shelf of the oven. Cooking time for rare is 20 minutes per 500g, medium is 27 minutes per 500g, and well done is 32 minutes per 500g. After cooking: Remove from oven, cover joint in foil and leave to rest for 20-30 minutes. This product should be cooked until piping hot throughout. If cooking rare, do not pierce the meat before cooking and ensure is fully seared/browned. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only.
